About us
Organised by building, not by borough
We cover the whole capital. We plan each move around the fabric and the rules of the property you are leaving, because in London that is what governs the day.
There is a version of a London removals firm that lists thirty-two boroughs on a page and says the same four sentences about each. It ranks for a while and it tells the customer nothing.
We took the other approach. The capital's housing falls into a handful of recognisable types, and each type imposes its own constraints — a mansion block's lift and its residents' committee, a terrace's winder staircase, a conversion's shared hallway and four sets of leaseholder interests, a listed house's protected joinery, a new-build's booking sheet.
Knowing which of those you are in tells us more than your postcode does, and it is what we build the plan around.
What that means in practice
It means we ask for a photograph of the staircase before we ask how many bedrooms you have. It means we contact your managing agent early rather than turning up and finding out a lift slot was needed. And it means that when something will not fit, you hear it at the survey rather than in your hallway.
What we are not
Not the cheapest quote, because the cheapest quote is usually the one that has not measured the turn or counted the cellar. Not a broker. And we do not display accreditations, ratings or press coverage we have not earned — if a claim is on this site, we can stand behind it.
How we work
Four things we hold to
The survey establishes what the building allows
Not what you own — what the staircase, the lift and the lease will permit. That is the difference between a quote that holds and one that gets corrected on the morning.
We do the building correspondence
Notifying managing agents, booking service lifts and loading bays, supplying insurance evidence. All routine, all slow, and all far better done weeks ahead than discovered on the day.
Protected fabric stays protected
We do not take sashes out of listed buildings or unscrew original balusters to make something fit. Where an item will not go, we say so while you still have options.
We point elsewhere when it helps
Several boroughs in this network have their own local sites with street-level knowledge. If one of them serves your address better, we will tell you.
Next step
Talk to us about your move
No obligation. If another firm in this network serves your address better, we will tell you which one.
